I have your file open here - you're applying for a protection visa. Could you tell me why you left Nepal and what's happened since you arrived in Australia?
नमस्ते वकिल जी। म नेपालमा राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ता थिएँ र सरकार विरोधी आन्दोलनमा सहभागी भएकोले मलाई धम्की र आक्रमणको डर थियो। त्यसैले म विद्यार्थी भिसामा अस्ट्रेलिया आएँ।
Thank you. When exactly did you arrive in Australia, and did you enter on a valid visa, such as a student or visitor visa?
म गत वर्ष १४ मार्चमा विद्यार्थी भिसामा आएको थिएँ, तर मेरो भिसा गत महिना सकिइसक्यो र अहिले मसँग कुनै वैध भिसा छैन।
If your visa has already expired, you may still apply for protection, but you must lodge the application with the Department of Home Affairs before any bridging visa ends.
ठीक छ, तर यदि मेरो आवेदन अस्वीकार भयो भने के हुन्छ? के मलाई फिर्ता पठाइन्छ?
If it's refused, you can appeal to the Administrative Review Tribunal, but you cannot remain in Australia legally if you miss that appeal deadline.

You generally have 28 days to lodge an appeal after receiving the refusal decision, so we must prepare your case carefully and submit strong evidence.

While your application is being processed, you may be eligible for a bridging visa with work rights, provided you meet health and character requirements.

Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
