Good afternoon. Could you describe exactly when your daughter's diarrhoea began, and roughly how many loose stools she's had since yesterday morning?

Has she also vomited at all, and is she still managing to keep down small amounts of water or diluted apple juice?

Does she have any fever, blood or mucus in her stool, and have you noticed her urine output dropping noticeably today compared with yesterday?

If she doesn't manage to keep any fluids down for more than a few hours, we'll need to take her straight to Bankstown Hospital's emergency department.

Please offer her small sips of oral rehydration solution every ten minutes, even if she vomits once or twice, rather than large amounts at once.
