GP Consultation for Diarrhoea and Dehydration Risk
GP (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Sinhala) talk through “GP Consultation for Diarrhoea and Dehydration Risk”. You interpret both ways — English into Sinhala, and Sinhala into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Full transcript
Mr. Rajapaksa, you've had diarrhoea since Thursday afternoon. Can you tell me how many times a day, and whether there's any blood in it?
Have you had any fever or vomiting? And have you travelled recently, or eaten anything unusual this past week, like seafood or leftovers?
You need to drink plenty of fluids, especially oral rehydration solution, to avoid dehydration. If you develop severe pain or blood, go to Liverpool Hospital immediately.
I wouldn't recommend anti-diarrhoea tablets while you have a fever, since they can trap the infection. Let's do a stool test first.
You'll collect a small stool sample here today. Results usually take two days. Please stay home from work and rest until we know more.
Yes, I'll give you a medical certificate for three days. If symptoms haven't improved by then, please book a follow-up appointment.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Sinhala dialogues · All languages
