Follow-up Consultation for Stable Angina
Cardiac Nurse (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Dutch) talk through “Follow-up Consultation for Stable Angina”. You interpret both ways — English into Dutch, and Dutch into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in, Mr Bakker. Can you describe exactly what happened when the chest tightness started yesterday afternoon, and how long it lasted? Take your time.
Did the pain spread to your arm, jaw, shoulder or back, and did resting or sitting down help ease it at all?
That's reassuring to hear. This sounds like stable angina, where reduced blood flow to the heart causes discomfort during physical exertion, rather than a heart attack.
Yes, you should continue taking your GTN spray and daily aspirin as prescribed, unless your GP specifically advises you to stop.
Begrepen.
Yes — if the chest pain lasts more than ten minutes despite resting and using your spray, call triple zero immediately.
Dat zal ik onthouden. Ik voel me eerlijk gezegd best angstig sinds dit gebeurde, kunt u me de volgende stappen uitleggen?
We'll book you in for a stress test at the cardiology clinic within two weeks, and we'll review your current medication after that appointment.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Dutch dialogues · All languages
