Plastic Surgeon (speaking English) and Client (speaking Finnish) talk through “Consultation for Burn Scar Revision Surgery”. You interpret both ways — English into Finnish, and Finnish into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Mikko. Can you tell me exactly how this burn scar on your forearm happened last year, please?
Kiitos, tohtori. Poltin käsivarteni viime vuonna, kun kuuma öljy roiskahti iholleni keittiössä.
I understand that. The revision surgery usually takes about two hours under general anaesthetic, and afterwards the scarring should be much less noticeable than now.
Onko toimenpide kivulias, ja kuinka pitkään toipuminen kestää ennen kuin voin palata töihin?
The procedure itself isn't painful because you'll be fully asleep, but afterwards expect mild discomfort for several days, and recovery generally takes around three weeks.
En ole tupakoinut enää kolmeen kuukauteen, joten toivottavasti se nopeuttaa paranemistani.
That's excellent; three months without smoking should really help healing. However, we can't guarantee the scar disappears completely, though it will look much smoother.
Entä kustannukset? Kattaako julkinen terveydenhuolto tämän leikkauksen, vai tarvitsenko yksityisen vakuutuksen?
Public hospitals like Royal North Shore Hospital do cover this procedure, but there's currently a waiting list for non-urgent reconstructive surgery cases.
Kuinka pitkä jonotusaika tällä hetkellä on, ja voisitteko laittaa minut jonotuslistalle heti tämän tapaamisen jälkeen?
The current wait is roughly eight months, though urgent cases are prioritised sooner. I'll add your name to the waiting list right away today.
Kiitos paljon, tohtori. Se helpottaa mieltäni todella suuresti, kun asia etenee nyt eteenpäin.
