Emotional Distress Support After a Car Accident
GP (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Italian) talk through “Emotional Distress Support After a Car Accident”. You interpret both ways — English into Italian, and Italian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Mr Bianchi, thank you for coming in. I can see from your file you've been struggling since the car accident. How have you been feeling this past week?
Mi sento sempre ansioso e piango senza motivo.
Have you been sleeping properly and eating regular meals since the accident? Also, have you had any thoughts of harming yourself?
I'd like to refer you to a psychologist under a Mental Health Care Plan, which currently gives you ten subsidised sessions each calendar year.
Capisco, dottoressa. Ma quanto costerà vedere questo psicologo? Non ho un'assicurazione sanitaria privata.
Medicare covers most of the fee, though some clinics charge a small gap payment. Headspace Adelaide often bulk-bills sessions for young adults.
You should get an appointment within about two weeks. If things feel urgent before then, please call the clinic's crisis line immediately.
That's understandable, feeling far from family. Beyond Blue also runs a phone support line, and there's a local group unless you'd prefer individual counselling.
Grazie mille, dottoressa.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Italian dialogues · All languages
