Liver Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Options
肿瘤科医生 (speaking English) and 病人 (speaking Italian) talk through “Liver Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Options”. You interpret both ways — English into Italian, and Italian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Mrs. Bianchi, the ultrasound at Flinders Medical Centre showed a four-centimetre mass on your liver. We need a biopsy to determine whether it's cancerous.
Dottoressa, sono molto preoccupata. Il tumore può essere pericoloso? Ho sentito dire che il cancro al fegato è molto difficile da curare, soprattutto alla mia età.
You'll need to fast for six hours before the biopsy, and we won't proceed if your blood tests show a clotting problem.
Capisco. E se la biopsia conferma che è cancro, si è già diffuso ad altri organi? Ho tanta paura per i miei figli.
We'll also do a CT scan to check if the cancer has spread. If it hasn't, surgery at Flinders Medical Centre may be possible.
Ho settantott'anni e soffro di diabete. L'operazione sarebbe troppo rischiosa per me?
If surgery isn't suitable, we could consider ablation or targeted therapy instead. Your case goes to our multidisciplinary team meeting this Thursday.
Quanto tempo dovrò aspettare per sapere quale trattamento sceglierete? L'attesa mi rende molto ansiosa.
We'll have a treatment plan within ten days. Please contact us immediately if you notice yellowing skin, severe pain, or sudden weight loss.
Va bene, grazie. Nel frattempo posso prendere qualcosa per il dolore? Mia figlia mi accompagnerà a tutti gli appuntamenti.
Our liver clinic nurse will call you tomorrow about pain relief options, and I'll refer you to Cancer Council Australia for extra support.
Grazie mille, dottoressa. Quando sarà il prossimo appuntamento per i risultati?
