Acute Infective Conjunctivitis Consultation
GP (speaking English) and 患者 (speaking Japanese) talk through “Acute Infective Conjunctivitis Consultation”. You interpret both ways — English into Japanese, and Japanese into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Mr. Sato. Can you describe what's been happening with your eye over the past couple of days?
Looking at your eye, I can see redness, swelling, and yellow discharge—this looks like infective conjunctivitis, which is quite contagious and spreads easily.
I'll prescribe antibiotic eye drops, which you can get from Chemist Warehouse. Please avoid work for at least three days, or until the discharge stops completely.
Your children should also stay home from school or childcare until their eyes are completely clear. They shouldn't swim, and please wash pillowcases and towels daily to prevent spreading it.
If there's no improvement within three days, or if your vision changes or pain worsens, please come back immediately.
Chloramphenicol drops are available over the counter at most pharmacies, no prescription needed, costing around fifteen dollars for a small bottle.
