Looking at your X-ray, your lower right wisdom tooth is impacted and causing an infection in the gum tissue around it, which explains the swelling.

You'll need a referral to an oral surgeon, since this tooth is angled against the nerve and too deep for a general dentist to remove safely.

Medicare won't cover this unless you're eligible for public hospital dental care, and the public wait list at Adelaide Dental Hospital can be up to eight weeks.

Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- medicare固有名詞としてそのまま「Medicare」と言う。日本の健康保険とは制度が異なるため『健康保険』と訳さず、Medicareのまま伝えるのが安全。
- public hospital「公立病院」と訳す。
- extras cover「エクストラ保険」または「付帯給付」と訳す。
- referral letter「紹介状」と訳すのが最も自然。
