Termination Meeting at a Warehouse
HR Manager (speaking English) and Employee (speaking Japanese) talk through “Termination Meeting at a Warehouse”. You interpret both ways — English into Japanese, and Japanese into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Kenji, thank you for coming in today. I have to inform you that your role at the Dandenong distribution centre is being made redundant, effective immediately.
No, this isn't about your performance. The company is restructuring, and three positions in your department, including yours, are being cut this month.
You'll receive four weeks' pay in lieu of notice, along with your final payslip by next Friday, the fourteenth of November.
Any unused annual leave will be paid out with your final payment. Since you've worked here two years, you're not yet eligible for long service leave.
If you believe the dismissal was unfair, you can lodge an unfair dismissal claim with the Fair Work Commission within twenty-one days.
Yes, I'll prepare a reference letter outlining your role and skills. I wish you the best in finding a new position soon.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- fair work commission「Fair Work Commission」と英語のまま言うのが基本。
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Japanese dialogues · All languages
