Let's go through your son's asthma first aid plan carefully before he starts high school next month, Mrs. Nakamura, since he'll be managing it more independently at school.
はい、来月から高校生になるので、私も本人も少し不安なんです。学校でも自分で対応できるように、しっかり教えていただけますか。
If he has an attack, sit him upright and give four puffs of his blue reliever puffer, one breath at a time, every four minutes until help arrives.
分かりました。まず座らせて、青い吸入器を四回吸わせるんですね。それを四分ごとに繰り返すということですか。
He should repeat that four-puff cycle if he's still wheezing, but never wait longer than four minutes between each round.
もし四分経ってもまだ息苦しそうなら、もう一度四回吸わせればいいんですね。学校の先生にもそのタイミングを伝えておきます。
Call triple zero immediately if he doesn't improve after three cycles, or if his lips or fingernails turn a bluish colour.
唇が青くなったり、三回繰り返しても良くならない場合は、すぐに救急車を呼ぶということですね。学校の職員にもそう伝えます。
