JobSeeker Payment Application

Good morning. I understand you would like to apply for JobSeeker Payment. Can you tell me about your current work situation first?
你好。我上个月底被裁员了，之前在一家餐馆做全职。我还在找工作，但是想先申请一些支持。
That is exactly what this payment is for. Do you have your separation certificate from your employer, and have you linked your myGov account?
离职证明我拿到了，myGov 也连接好了。请问从申请到第一笔钱到账，一般要等多久？
Most claims are processed within a few weeks, and payments start from the day you submit, not the day it is approved.
那我就放心了。我听说拿这个津贴需要完成一些义务，具体是什么要求？
It is called mutual obligation. You agree to a job plan, apply for a set number of positions, and attend appointments with your provider.
如果我中间找到几天临时工，需要报告吗？会不会直接取消我的资格？
You must report your income every fortnight, but working does not cancel your payment. It is adjusted based on what you earn.
明白了，边打零工边领调整后的津贴。那我今天需要交哪些材料？
Identity documents, your bank details, the separation certificate, and a rental statement if you want rent assistance as well.
这些我都有。谢谢你解释得这么清楚，我今天就把申请提交上去。
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- jobseeker保留英文名称JobSeeker，可加译“失业救济金”帮助理解。
- mygov直接保留英文说“myGov”，因为这是专有平台名称。
- mutual obligation说“互惠义务”，如有需要可补充“即领取津贴者需履行的求职/活动义务”。
- rent assistance说“租房补助”或“租金补助”。
