Let's see how the swelling around your nose has settled since Monday's rhinoplasty at St Vincent's Private Hospital, Mrs Wiśniewski, and check the incision sites carefully.
Obrzęk trochę się zmniejszył, ale nadal mam siniaki pod oczami i lekki ból, kiedy dotykam grzbietu nosa.
Are you managing the pain well with paracetamol, and have you noticed any nausea, fever or unusual discharge from either nostril since yesterday's dressing change?
Biorę paracetamol dwa razy dziennie, nudności nie mam, ale z lewego nozdrza wydziela się trochę żółtawej wydzieliny.
That yellowish discharge is normal at this stage, unless you develop bright red bleeding, severe swelling or a fever above thirty-eight degrees, needing immediate attention.
Rozumiem. Kiedy będę mogła zdjąć opatrunek z nosa? Na razie tylko przemywam go solą fizjologiczną.
The nasal splint usually comes off around day seven after surgery; you're currently on day five, so there are just two more days before we remove it.
Czy mogę już normalnie się kąpać i myć włosy, czy muszę na coś szczególnie uważać?
You can shower normally, but avoid letting direct hot water hit your nose, and please use a gentle, fragrance-free shampoo until the splint is removed.
Pracuję jako nauczycielka. Czy będę mogła wrócić do pracy w przyszłym tygodniu?
You can return to light teaching duties after about ten days, but avoid strenuous activity, heavy lifting or contact sports for six weeks, and book your next review for day fourteen.
