Root Canal Treatment Consultation
Dentist (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Polish) talk through “Root Canal Treatment Consultation”. You interpret both ways — English into Polish, and Polish into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Ms. Kowalska. I've looked at your x-ray, and I'm afraid the back molar needs a root canal, not just a filling.
Boli mnie już od tygodnia, zwłaszcza gdy piję coś zimnego. Czy to znaczy, że muszę usunąć ząb, czy da się go uratować?
The procedure usually takes two appointments, about forty-five minutes each. We should start within the next two weeks, before the infection spreads further.
Rozumiem. A ile to będzie kosztować, jeśli nie mam prywatnego ubezpieczenia zdrowotnego?
Unfortunately Medicare doesn't cover dental work like this. If you have extras cover, your private health fund might rebate part of the four hundred and fifty dollar fee.
To sporo pieniędzy jak na mnie. Czy jest możliwość rozłożenia tego na raty?
We do offer a payment plan here, spreading the cost over three months. Alternatively, I can refer you to Newcastle Dental Hospital, though the waiting list is longer.
A jak długo trzeba czekać w tym szpitalu publicznym w Newcastle? Nie mogę czekać zbyt długo, bo ból jest coraz gorszy.
The public wait could be six months or more, whereas we can start within two weeks privately. It depends on how urgent your pain becomes.
W takim razie wolę zapłacić prywatnie i zacząć szybciej. Czy zabieg będzie bolesny?
You'll have a local anaesthetic, so you shouldn't feel pain during the procedure, though some sensitivity afterwards is normal for a day or two.
Dziękuję, to mnie uspokaja. Umówmy się więc na pierwszą wizytę w przyszłym tygodniu.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Polish dialogues · All languages
