Full transcript
Good afternoon, Mr Zieliński. I'm Claire Bennett, the ophthalmology nurse coordinating your care. Your cataract surgery is booked for Thursday morning at Prince of Wales Hospital, so let's review the preparation together.
Dziękuję, siostro Bennett. Trochę się denerwuję, bo to moja pierwsza operacja oczu. Czy zabieg jest bolesny?
It's usually painless — we numb your eye thoroughly with drops, and most patients only notice mild pressure during the operation. The whole procedure typically takes about twenty minutes.
To pocieszające. Czy muszę być na czczo przed zabiegiem, czy mogę coś zjeść rano?
Please don't eat or drink anything after midnight before your Thursday appointment, since an empty stomach reduces surgical risk. Water is fine until two hours beforehand.
Rozumiem. Biorę codziennie aspirynę na serce. Czy muszę przestać ją brać przed zabiegiem?
Don't stop the aspirin unless your cardiologist tells you to — it's usually safe to continue for cataract surgery.
To dobrze, bo boję się przerwać leczenie serca. Mój syn ma mnie odebrać, ale może się spóźnić. Czy to będzie problem, jeśli przyjedzie trochę później?
That's fine — you'll rest in recovery for about an hour anyway, so there's some flexibility if he's running late.
Super, dziękuję. A czy będę musiał wrócić na kontrolę za tydzień?
Yes, we'll book a follow-up appointment for next Thursday to check your eye's healing and update your glasses prescription.
Dziękuję bardzo za wszystkie informacje, siostro Bennett. Czuję się teraz dużo spokojniejszy przed operacją.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Polish dialogues · All languages
