Anxiety Referral at a Community Health Centre
Mental Health Nurse (speaking English) and Client (speaking Portuguese) talk through “Anxiety Referral at a Community Health Centre”. You interpret both ways — English into Portuguese, and Portuguese into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Mrs. Albuquerque. Your GP referred you because you've been feeling anxious and not sleeping well for several weeks now.
I understand that must be difficult. Can you tell me if this anxiety has been affecting your work or your concentration during the day?
I'd like to refer you to a psychologist at Logan Hospital's mental health team, who can help with counselling and practical coping strategies.
Entendo. Essas consultas com o psicólogo vão custar caro? No momento não tenho muito dinheiro sobrando.
Yes, as long as you bring a valid GP referral and your Medicare card, you won't pay the full fee for these sessions.
Que alívio saber disso. E quanto tempo vou precisar esperar até a primeira consulta?
There's an opening next Wednesday at ten thirty in the morning with one of our psychologists, if that time suits you.
Consigo comparecer, sim.
That's important to know. If you ever feel unsafe or have thoughts of harming yourself, please don't wait for that appointment — call triple zero or Lifeline straight away.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Portuguese dialogues · All languages
