Mr Sokolov, before we prepare your defence, can you walk me through exactly what happened outside the pub in Cronulla that night?

Striking back can be lawful self-defence if your response was reasonable and proportionate to the threat; however, if you kept hitting him after he had already stopped, you could still face charges.
