Weight Management Consultation
Dietitian (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Finnish) talk through “Weight Management Consultation”. You interpret both ways — English into Finnish, and Finnish into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Mr. Laine. Your GP referred you to our weight management program at Bankstown Community Health Centre, and I've reviewed your recent test results.
Kiitos, tohtori. Olen huolissani painostani, se on noussut viime vuoden aikana enkä ole onnistunut laihduttamaan yksin.
Can you tell me your current weight, height, and how many minutes you spend exercising each week on average?
Painan noin sata seitsemänkymmentä kiloa, ja pituuteni on sata seitsemänkymmentä senttiä. Liikun ehkä kaksikymmentä minuuttia viikossa, en enempää.
If you don't increase physical activity and adjust your diet, medication alone won't achieve lasting weight loss results. I'd recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise weekly.
Ymmärrän kyllä. Onko mahdollista saada lähete ravitsemusterapeutille heti, vai pitääkö minun ensin yrittää liikuntaa kolme kuukautta itse?
I'll refer you to our dietitian and organise blood tests to check your glucose, cholesterol, and thyroid levels before your next visit.
Selvä. Isälläni oli tyypin kaksi diabetes, joten olen huolissani, onko minulla samat riskit.
Let's review your progress in six weeks. If your weight hasn't changed by then, we may consider additional support options, including specialist referral.
Kuulostaa hyvältä. Yritän parhaani mukaan. Milloin seuraava tapaaminen olisi, jos tulokset eivät parane?
Reception will call you within a week to schedule your dietitian appointment and blood tests, so please keep your phone available.
Kiitos avusta, tohtori. Odotan puhelua ja teen parhaani noudattaakseni suunnitelmaa.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- specialist referralKäytä suoraan sanaa "lähete erikoislääkärille" – toimii hyvin suomeksi.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Finnish dialogues · All languages
