Coping with Emotional Distress After Job Loss
GP (speaking English) and 患者韩女士 (speaking Korean) talk through “Coping with Emotional Distress After Job Loss”. You interpret both ways — English into Korean, and Korean into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Ms. Han. Can you tell me what's been happening since your last visit to Wollongong Hospital, and how you've been coping this week?
네, 사실 요즘 많이 힘들어요. 3주 전에 회사에서 정리해고를 당한 후로 잠을 거의 못 자고, 밤마다 눈물이 나요. 어제는 갑자기 숨이 막히고 심장이 빨리 뛰어서 너무 무서웠어요.
Have you had any thoughts of harming yourself, or is it mainly feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and tearful most nights since you lost your job?
아니요, 제 자신을 해치고 싶은 생각은 없어요. 그냥 너무 지치고 압도되는 느낌이에요. 밤에 혼자 있으면 갑자기 눈물이 나고, 아무 이유 없이 불안해져요.
I'd like to refer you for a Mental Health Treatment Plan, which allows up to ten subsidised sessions with a registered psychologist over the next year.
그렇게 해주시면 감사하겠어요. 그런데 심리상담사를 만나려면 따로 돈을 내야 하나요? 지금 수입이 없어서 걱정이 돼요.
This clinic bulk bills, so there's no upfront cost for you, though some private psychologists may charge a gap fee instead.
다행이네요. 그럼 여기서 진행하면 추가 비용 없이 받을 수 있는 거죠? 예약은 언제쯤 가능할까요?
I'll send the referral today; you should get an appointment within about two weeks, and the clinic will call to confirm the time.
이 주 정도 기다려야 한다니 조금 걱정돼요. 만약 그 전에 또 공황 발작이 오면 어떻게 해야 하나요?
If you ever feel unsafe before then, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14, or go straight to your nearest hospital emergency department.
알겠습니다. 라이프라인 번호 꼭 저장해 둘게요. 도움 주셔서 정말 감사합니다.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- gap fee'본인부담금' 또는 '차액 진료비'라고 번역하면 됩니다.
- lifeline'Lifeline'이라는 고유명사를 그대로 사용한다.
- emergency department'응급실'이라고 번역하면 자연스럽고 정확하다.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Korean dialogues · All languages
