Tell me exactly what happened with the electrician you hired for the rewiring job at your house in Newcastle.
When did the work start, do you have the invoice, and did he give you anything in writing about the job?
You can lodge a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading, and they'll contact the electrician directly to try to reach a resolution through mediation.
There's no fixed number of days for that process - it depends on how quickly the electrician responds and how complicated the dispute turns out to be.
If Fair Trading isn't able to resolve it, you can then apply to NCAT for a formal tribunal hearing on the matter.
Keep every photo, invoice, and text message you have - that evidence will support your case at each stage, whether it's with Fair Trading or NCAT.
Fair Trading.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Macedonian dialogues · All languages
