Good afternoon, Mr Rahman. Your knee surgery is scheduled for Wednesday at Liverpool Hospital. Do you have any allergies, and have you eaten today?
Belum, saya belum makan sejak tengah hari tadi. Saya ada alahan kepada penicillin, tapi bolehkah saya minum air sebelum tengah malam?
Thank you for telling me about the penicillin allergy — I've noted it clearly. You can drink small sips of water until midnight, then nothing after that.
Baiklah, terima kasih. Selepas saya sedar daripada bius nanti, adakah saya akan terus diberi ubat tahan sakit?
You'll receive pain relief immediately after you wake from the anaesthetic, before you feel discomfort. Are you currently taking aspirin or warfarin?

Panadol isn't a problem before surgery, unless your doctor advised otherwise. You'll likely stay two nights, and won't go home unless you're walking safely.
