Good morning, I'm the palliative care nurse from Calvary Hospital. I'd like to discuss your father's pain management plan and how we can support him at home.
We'll give him morphine every four hours to control the pain. Calvary Hospital will also send a nurse twice a week to check on him.
If his condition worsens, please call us immediately, day or night. You don't need to wait for a scheduled visit to get help.
There's a 24-hour hotline you can call anytime. If the pain isn't controlled, please don't wait until morning, contact us straight away.
Of course, your family can stay with him. We'll respect your rituals as long as they don't interfere with his medical care.
The advance care directive will only be signed if your father agrees. There's no pressure, and he can change his mind anytime.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Nepali dialogues · All languages
