Antenatal Check-up and Glucose Tolerance Test Scheduling
Midwife (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Odia) talk through “Antenatal Check-up and Glucose Tolerance Test Scheduling”. You interpret both ways — English into Odia, and Odia into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Your blood pressure and the baby's heartbeat both sound strong today, Mrs Behera. How have you been feeling since your last visit three weeks ago?
At 27 weeks, we usually schedule the oral glucose tolerance test. This checks how your body processes sugar during pregnancy.
You'll fast overnight, then have blood taken three times: once fasting, once after one hour, and once after two hours. If you eat before the test, we'll reschedule it.
That's understandable. The hospital's social worker can help arrange transport, or you could contact the local community transport service for pregnant women.
I'll ask the social worker to call you before Thursday. Your OGTT appointment is at John Hunter Hospital, 9 a.m., next Thursday.
Results usually come back within three days. We'll review them together at your next appointment, scheduled for 31 weeks along with your blood pressure check.
