You'll need to fast for eight hours, but you can drink water. Afterwards, you'll drink a glucose solution containing seventy-five grams of sugar.

If the result comes back high, we'll refer you to a dietitian and monitor your sugar levels more closely - it doesn't mean you'll need insulin straight away.
