Full transcript
Let's start with the electrical work that went wrong at your house in Newcastle. Can you walk me through what happened?
Did you get a written quote or contract before he started the job, or any messages agreeing on the price?
After you noticed the faulty sockets, did you contact him? What did he say, and has he come back to fix it?
NSW Fair Trading can write to him first. If that doesn't work, you can apply to NCAT — they may order him to repay your fee if you win, but it isn't guaranteed.
Hearings are usually scheduled within about eight weeks. If he doesn't attend, the tribunal can still make a decision in his absence.
Bring photos of the faulty wiring, your text messages about the price, and a written statement — you won't need an invoice, since none was given.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Romanian dialogues · All languages
