HIV Testing and Counselling at a Sexual Health Clinic
Health Counsellor (speaking English) and Client (speaking Romanian) talk through “HIV Testing and Counselling at a Sexual Health Clinic”. You interpret both ways — English into Romanian, and Romanian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today. Before we start the HIV test, can you tell me if you've had any symptoms in the last three months?
Have you had any unprotected sexual contact in the past six weeks? This affects whether the test result will be accurate right now.
If you haven't had contact in the last six weeks, we may need to retest later, since early infection sometimes doesn't show up yet.
Your results should be ready within five business days. I'll call you personally, so there's no need to worry about paperwork arriving unexpectedly.
Everything here is confidential, even from your GP, unless you give consent. ACON also offers free peer support if you'd like extra help.
Please come back next Thursday at ten for your results. Bring your Medicare card, and we'll discuss next steps together, whatever the outcome is.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- medicare cardSe spune „cardul Medicare”.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Romanian dialogues · All languages
