Thanks for coming in, Mr U Tin Maung. Can you tell me exactly how your eyesight has changed over the past few months?

The examination shows early cataracts in both eyes, which is quite common with age. I'd recommend surgery, and we can refer you to the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

Don't worry, it's a day surgery using only local anaesthetic eye drops, not a general anaesthetic. You'll be awake but won't feel any pain during the procedure.
