Lower Back Pain X-ray Referral
Physiotherapist (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Croatian) talk through “Lower Back Pain X-ray Referral”. You interpret both ways — English into Croatian, and Croatian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Can you tell me when this pain in your lower back first started, and whether it radiates down into either leg?
Does the pain get worse when you bend forward, sit for long periods at work, or try to lift anything heavy?
Based on what you've described, I suspect a muscle strain, but we should rule out a disc problem with an X-ray first.
Je li to nešto ozbiljno?
I'll refer you to I-MED Radiology on Anzac Parade; they can perform the X-ray without requiring any hospital admission or referral delay.
Koliko dugo moram čekati na taj rendgen, i hoće li me to nešto koštati?
You won't wait long — I-MED can fit you in within two days, and with your Medicare card the X-ray costs nothing out of pocket.
Please bring your Medicare card and this referral form; once we see the X-ray results, we'll discuss whether physiotherapy alone helps or an MRI is needed.
Razumijem, ponijet ću Medicare karticu i uputnicu. Hvala vam puno na pomoći, doktore.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Croatian dialogues · All languages
