Workplace Discrimination After Pregnancy Announcement
Employment Advisor (speaking English) and Klientka (speaking Czech) talk through “Workplace Discrimination After Pregnancy Announcement”. You interpret both ways — English into Czech, and Czech into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thank you for coming in today. Can you tell me what happened at your workplace that made you feel unfairly treated?
When exactly did this happen, and did your employer give you anything in writing about the restructuring decision?
Bylo to minulý čtvrtek, dvacátého listopadu. Dostala jsem jen krátký e-mail, žádný oficiální dokument, žádné vysvětlení, proč zrovna moje místo zaniklo.
This could be unlawful discrimination under the Fair Work Act. You may be able to lodge a general protections claim with the Fair Work Commission.
You don't need a lawyer to lodge this claim, and the Fair Work Commission's conciliation conference is free. Legal representation is optional, though some people choose it.
You generally have 21 days from your dismissal to lodge the application, so you still have time this week. If you miss it, exceptions are rare.
Outcomes vary - reinstatement, compensation, or a negotiated settlement through conciliation. There's no guarantee, but many cases resolve without going to a formal hearing.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- fair workPonechat jako „Fair Work“, případně doplnit „úřad pro pracovní práva“.
- fair work commissionPonechat anglický název Fair Work Commission, případně doplnit krátké vysvětlení „australský pracovněprávní tribunál“.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Czech dialogues · All languages
