Memory Clinic Follow-Up: Early Dementia Diagnosis
Nurse (speaking English) and 女儿 (speaking Japanese) talk through “Memory Clinic Follow-Up: Early Dementia Diagnosis”. You interpret both ways — English into Japanese, and Japanese into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thank you for coming in today, Yuki. The assessment shows your father has moderate memory changes consistent with early dementia, though his overall health remains stable.
そうですか…認知症の初期段階なんですね。何かお薬で症状を抑えることはできるんでしょうか?
We can start a medication called donepezil, which may slow symptoms, but it won't reverse the condition and works differently for each person.

He shouldn't be left alone using the stove, so we recommend removing the gas cooktop or installing an automatic shut-off timer for safety.

Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- respite「レスパイトケア」、または「介護者のための短期介護・休息支援」と訳す。
- home care package「ホームケアパッケージ」とカタカナで表し、「高齢者向け在宅介護支援制度」と補足する。

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Japanese dialogues · All languages
