Thanks for coming in today, Mrs. Tanaka. Could you tell me how your sleep, appetite, and mood have been over the past three weeks?
実は三週間ほど前に工場の仕事を失ってから、夜あまり眠れず、食欲もほとんどありません。何をしていても気分が沈んでしまい、自分が役に立たない人間だと感じてしまいます。夫もとても心配しております。
Before we continue, I need to ask directly — have you had any thoughts of hurting yourself, or that life isn't worth continuing?

That's helpful to know, and I'm glad you told me. I'd like to prepare a Mental Health Care Plan, allowing up to ten subsidised sessions with a psychologist.

It depends on the individual psychologist. If they don't bulk bill through Medicare, there may be a gap payment for each session you attend.

Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- Mental health care plan「メンタルヘルスケアプラン」とカタカナで説明し、必要なら『GPが作成する、Medicareの補助を受けられる心のケア計画』と補足する。
- Bulk bill「バルクビル(Medicareへの直接請求で患者負担なしの制度)」と説明的に訳すのが安全です。
- Medicare固有名詞としてそのまま「Medicare」と言う。日本の健康保険とは制度が異なるため『健康保険』と訳さず、Medicareのまま伝えるのが安全。
- Beyond Blue固有名詞としてそのまま「Beyond Blue」と発音する。必要なら「メンタルヘルス支援団体のBeyond Blue」と補足する。
