Grief Counselling Session Follow-up
Counsellor (speaking English) and Client (speaking Japanese) talk through “Grief Counselling Session Follow-up”. You interpret both ways — English into Japanese, and Japanese into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Full transcript
Since our last session two weeks ago, how has your sleep been at night, especially those nightmares about your husband's car accident?
はい、実はあまり眠れていません。夫の事故のことを思い出す夢を見て、夜中に三、四回も目が覚めてしまいます。すごく疲れています。
That sounds really exhausting for you. Have you tried the breathing exercise we practised together, or started the journal I suggested for tracking your dreams?
呼吸法は少し試しました。日記も書き始めたんですが、夫のことを書くと涙が止まらなくなって、三日ほどでやめてしまいました。
That's completely understandable — grief doesn't follow a fixed schedule. Under your GP's mental health care plan, you're eligible for ten subsidised sessions with a psychologist each calendar year.
十回で足りるか心配です。もし十回終わってもまだ辛かったら、その後の費用はどうなりますか。
The subsidy covers ten sessions each calendar year. If you need more support afterwards, your GP can review your plan and extend the referral.
分かりました、それなら安心です。次のセッションはどこで、いつ受けられますか。
Sessions are held at Barwon Health's Geelong clinic, every Thursday at ten in the morning, for fifty minutes each time.
木曜日の十時ですね、大丈夫です。もしよければ、娘を一緒に連れて行ってもいいですか。
You don't have to bring anyone, but family or friends are welcome to join if that would help you feel supported.
分かりました、娘と一緒に伺います。次回は症状をまとめたメモも持っていきます。
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- mental health care plan「メンタルヘルスケアプラン」とカタカナで説明し、必要なら『GPが作成する、Medicareの補助を受けられる心のケア計画』と補足する。
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Japanese dialogues · All languages
