Mr. Petrovski, thanks for coming in. Can you tell me more about the chest tightness you felt while walking to the shops yesterday?
That sounds like angina — chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. We can prescribe a GTN spray to use under your tongue when pain starts.
Yes, you'll need a prescription. It's subsidised, so it should cost around fifteen dollars at a pharmacy like Chemist Warehouse. Spray once under your tongue if pain starts.
Yes, your GP will refer you to a cardiologist at Liverpool Hospital. I'll check for the earliest available appointment and call you once it's confirmed.
No fasting is needed for this appointment. Just bring your GTN spray and a list of any medications you're currently taking.
Avoid strenuous exercise until you're reviewed. If chest pain doesn't ease within a few minutes after two sprays, call triple zero immediately.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.
