Good afternoon, Mr Petrovski. I'm Sarah, the eye clinic nurse at Gold Coast University Hospital. Can you tell me how your vision has been affecting your daily life?

Thank you for explaining that. Are you currently taking any blood thinners, like warfarin, or do you have any known allergies to medication?

The surgery uses local anaesthetic drops and usually takes about twenty minutes. If you don't follow the warfarin instructions from your GP, there's a higher bleeding risk.

No, you won't feel pain, only slight pressure, because the numbing drops make the eye completely numb during the procedure.
