Formal Complaint Against an Electrician
Fair Trading Officer (speaking English) and Client (speaking Persian) talk through “Formal Complaint Against an Electrician”. You interpret both ways — English into Persian, and Persian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today—can you tell me what happened with the electrical work at your property in Blacktown?
سلام. یک برقکار به خانهام در بلکتاون اومد و سیمکشی آشپزخانه رو عوض کرد، ولی الان دودسنج کار نمیکنه و چند تا سیم لخت بیرونه. نهصد و چهل دلار هم بابتش پرداخت کردم.
Do you have the electrician's licence number and the invoice? Also, when was the work carried out, and how much did you pay?
بله، فاکتور رو دارم. شماره پروانهاش AB123456 هست و کار رو سه هفته پیش، روز پنجشنبه انجام داد.
I can lodge a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading. Please provide photos of the wiring, the invoice, and any messages with the electrician.
چقدر طول میکشه تا این شکایت رو بررسی کنن؟ من نگرانم چون سیمهای لخت خطرناکن.
There's no fixed timeframe for resolution—it depends on the complexity of the case and whether the electrician responds to our request for information.
پس چیکار باید بکنم؟ میتونم ازش بخوام دوباره درستش کنه یا پولمو پس بده؟
If the electrician doesn't cooperate, you can apply to NCAT for an order requiring rectification or compensation for the faulty work done.
اگه بره به NCAT، هزینهاش زیاده؟ من الان زیاد پول ندارم.
Lodging the complaint is free. If it goes to NCAT, there's an application fee, but you may recover it if you're successful.
متوجه شدم. پس عکسها و فاکتور رو جمع میکنم و شکایت رو ثبت میکنم. ممنونم از کمکتون.

CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Persian dialogues · All languages
