Coping with Emotional Distress
Counsellor (speaking English) and 来访者 (speaking Persian) talk through “Coping with Emotional Distress”. You interpret both ways — English into Persian, and Persian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Mr Hosseini. Can you tell me a bit about how you've been feeling since our last appointment together?
راستش از وقتی که سه هفته پیش کارم را از دست دادم، اصلاً خوب نخوابیدهام و دائم نگران آینده خانوادهام هستم.
I'm sorry to hear that. Have you had any thoughts of harming yourself, or is it mainly worry, sadness, and stress affecting your sleep lately?
نه، اصلاً به آسیب رساندن به خودم فکر نکردهام، فقط خیلی مضطرب و غمگین هستم و گاهی بیدلیل گریه میکنم.
It's good you're not having those thoughts. I'd like to refer you to a psychologist here at Bendigo Health, if that sounds alright to you.
بله، حتماً، دوست دارم با یک روانشناس صحبت کنم. ولی میخواستم بدانم آیا این جلسات هزینه دارد یا با مدیکر پوشش داده میشود؟
The first ten sessions are usually covered under Medicare's Better Access plan, provided you bring a valid Medicare card to each appointment.
بله، کارت مدیکر معتبر دارم و همراهم است. کِی میتوانم اولین قرار ملاقات را داشته باشم؟
Let's schedule your first session for Thursday at ten in the morning, and I'll send the confirmation through the patient portal today.
پنجشنبه ساعت ده صبح برایم خوب است، ممنونم. تا آن موقع چه کاری میتوانم انجام دهم که کمی آرامتر باشم؟
Try slow breathing or journaling whenever you feel anxious, and call Lifeline anytime if things become too overwhelming before our next session.
متشکرم، احساس میکنم کمی امیدوارتر شدم. حتماً تمرینهای تنفس را انجام میدهم و اگر لازم شد با لایفلاین تماس میگیرم.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- medicareهمان کلمه انگلیسی «Medicare» را بدون ترجمه بگویید، چون یک نام رسمی است.
- medicare cardبگویید «کارت Medicare» و نام Medicare را به انگلیسی نگه دارید.
- lifelineهمان نام «Lifeline» را به انگلیسی بگویید، چون نام رسمی سازمان است.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Persian dialogues · All languages
