Brain Trauma Follow-up Consultation
Neurologist (speaking English) and Patient's Wife (speaking Polish) talk through “Brain Trauma Follow-up Consultation”. You interpret both ways — English into Polish, and Polish into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Full transcript
Mrs Nowakowski, thank you for waiting so patiently. I've just reviewed Andrzej's CT scan taken this morning at Liverpool Hospital.
Doktorze, proszę powiedzieć, co pokazało badanie. Bardzo się boję, że coś jest poważnie uszkodzone w głowie mojego męża.
The scan shows a small subdural haemorrhage, a bit of bleeding beneath the skull, but it's not pressing heavily on the brain right now.
Czy to znaczy, że będzie potrzebna operacja? On tak długo był nieprzytomny po tym upadku.
Not unless the bleeding increases. We'll keep him under close observation for 48 hours, checking his pupils and responses every two hours.
On mnie dzisiaj rano nie poznawał i mylił słowa. Czy to się utrzyma na dłużej?
Yes, confusion and short-term memory trouble are common after a concussion like this. Most patients see real improvement within about two weeks.
Kiedy będziemy mogli zabrać go do domu? Mieszkamy sami, więc martwię się, czy poradzę sobie z opieką.
If tonight's observations stay stable and he remains alert, he could go home tomorrow afternoon, provided someone stays with him for the first two days.
Proszę mi powiedzieć, na jakie objawy mam zwracać uwagę w domu i kiedy powinnam wezwać karetkę.
Watch for severe headache, repeated vomiting, unequal pupils, seizures, or growing drowsiness. If any appear, don't wait — call triple zero immediately for an ambulance.
Dziękuję, zapamiętam to wszystko. Będę pilnować tych objawów i natychmiast zadzwonię pod numer alarmowy, jeśli coś się zmieni.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- triple zeroPowiedzieć 'numer alarmowy zero-zero-zero' albo po prostu podać liczbę 000.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Polish dialogues · All languages
