You mentioned you fell down the stairs and hit your head this morning. Can you tell me exactly what happened and how you're feeling right now?

Given your symptoms, the doctor wants a CT scan to check for bleeding or swelling inside your skull.

The radiation dose from one head CT scan is very low, similar to a few days of natural background exposure, and won't cause you harm.
