Good afternoon, Ms. Htun. Can you describe when your headaches started, how often they happen, and whether they're worse at any particular time of day?

Have you taken anything for the pain, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, and do you have any known allergies to medication?

Besides the pain, have you noticed any blurred vision, nausea, or unusual sensitivity to light when these headaches occur?

I'd like to refer you to Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital for a CT scan, which usually takes place within about two weeks.

If the headache suddenly becomes much more severe, or you experience vision loss or weakness, please go straight to the emergency department, not wait for the scan.

In the meantime, take paracetamol up to four times a day for the pain, but avoid ibuprofen if your stomach feels unsettled, and book a follow-up next Thursday.
