Pregnancy-Related Promotion Discrimination Claim
Lawyer (speaking English) and Client (speaking Dutch) talk through “Pregnancy-Related Promotion Discrimination Claim”. You interpret both ways — English into Dutch, and Dutch into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in, Femke. You mentioned Bunnings Warehouse gave the supervisor role to a colleague right after you told them about your pregnancy. Walk me through it.
Since Bunnings didn't dismiss you — you're still employed — the 21-day deadline for dismissal claims doesn't apply. This is a different type of general protections claim.
Correct, there's no 21-day limit here. You can lodge a general protections claim with the Fair Work Commission, or a discrimination complaint with the Human Rights Commission.
Yes — general protections claims must reach court within six years, but memories and evidence fade quickly, so acting within the next few months is wise.
Keep those emails, and add any texts, performance reviews, and names of colleagues who witnessed the promotion decision or heard relevant comments.
Good — I'll draft the Fair Work Commission application this week and contact those colleagues about providing statements before we lodge it.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- fair workBehoud 'Fair Work' als eigennaam, eventueel met toelichting 'de arbeidsautoriteit Fair Work'.
- fair work commissionZeg de Engelse naam 'Fair Work Commission' en voeg zo nodig toe 'de Australische arbeidsrechtbank/instantie voor arbeidsgeschillen'.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Dutch dialogues · All languages
