Thank you for coming in today, Priya. Can you tell me about your eating patterns over the past few weeks, including any meals you've skipped or restricted?
I understand you've lost about four kilograms in the last two months, and you've also been exercising for over an hour every day. Have you noticed changes in your energy or concentration?
Have you experienced dizziness, fainting, or irregular periods recently? These symptoms could indicate your body isn't getting enough nutrition to function safely.
I'd like you to have a blood test within three days, and I will refer you to your GP for a full review of results.
I'll also refer you to the Butterfly Foundation for counselling twice a week, but only if your GP confirms and approves this referral first.
Family therapy is optional, but many young people benefit from involving parents, especially if mealtimes remain difficult or stressful at home.
