Full transcript
Good morning, I'm the duty lawyer at Parramatta Local Court today. This interpreter will help us communicate clearly. Can you please tell me exactly what happened last Friday night?
Did he hit you first, or did you approach him? Please describe exactly what led to the fight, including any weapon involved.
For self-defense, your response must be reasonable and proportionate to the threat. Was he armed, or only using his fists?
Did you suffer any injuries? Is there a witness who saw the incident, and did anyone call the police afterward?
Your matter will be listed at Parramatta Local Court in three weeks. Please bring any medical reports or witness statements you have.
If you have no prior convictions, bail is usually granted; if you do, the magistrate may refuse it. We'll argue self-defense strongly.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Hindi dialogues · All languages
