Counselling Intake After Bereavement
Counsellor (speaking English) and Client (speaking Italian) talk through “Counselling Intake After Bereavement”. You interpret both ways — English into Italian, and Italian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in, Antonella. Can you tell me how you've been sleeping and coping since your husband passed away three months ago?
That sounds really exhausting. Have you noticed any changes in your appetite, or moments where you feel too overwhelmed to leave the house?
I'd like to refer you to a psychologist under a Mental Health Care Plan, which allows up to six sessions initially.
Not at all - these would be individual sessions, just between you and the psychologist, not a group setting.
There's an opening at Ballarat Community Health Centre this Friday at ten thirty. If it's difficult without a car, we can look at telehealth instead.
If things feel worse before then, please call Lifeline on thirteen eleven fourteen - they're available every hour of the day, or visit your nearest emergency department.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Italian dialogues · All languages
