Joining the Union at Work
Union Organiser (speaking English) and Worker (speaking Malay) talk through “Joining the Union at Work”. You interpret both ways — English into Malay, and Malay into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

I'm visiting today from the SDA to chat with staff at your site about union membership and how it can support you at work today.
The weekly fee is nine dollars twenty, deducted automatically from your pay each fortnight, only if you decide to join the union.
Baiklah, saya faham pasal yuran tu.
Members get free advice on pay disputes, workplace safety issues, and representation whenever there's a disagreement with your employer, such as at Woolworths Dandenong South.
Baik, saya faham.
No, it's not compulsory at all. Joining is completely voluntary, and you're free to resign anytime without it affecting your job security.
Kalau macam tu, saya rasa nak sertai jugalah.
You can sign the membership form right now, or register online through the SDA website, whichever option feels more convenient for you today.
Baiklah, saya akan isi borang sekarang. Tapi adakah kesatuan ni dah aktif di Pusat Pengedaran Woolworths di Dandenong Selatan, tempat saya bekerja?
Yes, we already have an active delegate at that distribution centre, Priya Nair, who can support you with any workplace concerns.
Terima kasih banyak.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Malay dialogues · All languages
