Thanks for coming in today, Mrs. Nayak. I want to talk through your father's CT scan results from last night.

The scan shows a small bleed measuring eight millimetres near the frontal lobe. It's not large, but we need close monitoring over the next few days.

Surgery isn't needed if the bleed stays stable. We'll repeat a scan in three weeks and refer him to Flinders Medical Centre's rehabilitation unit.

Watch for worsening headaches, repeated vomiting, sudden confusion or seizures. If any of these occur, call triple zero immediately rather than waiting for the scan.
