26-Week Antenatal Check-up
Midwife (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Odia) talk through “26-Week Antenatal Check-up”. You interpret both ways — English into Odia, and Odia into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Full transcript
Mrs. Panda, you're now twenty-six weeks pregnant. Today we'll check your blood pressure and organise the glucose tolerance test at Gold Coast University Hospital next Thursday.
You can drink plain water before the test, but avoid tea, coffee, or juice. Fast for eight hours, otherwise we'll need to reschedule your appointment.
That's important to mention. If you notice reduced movements again, don't wait at home — come to Gold Coast University Hospital straight away.
Continue the folic acid and add an iron supplement daily. Also book a dental check, since gum problems are common during pregnancy.
You can eat cooked fish like salmon twice a week, but avoid raw fish, unpasteurised cheese, and undercooked meat until after delivery.
Book your next visit in four weeks, and bring your Medicare card. If anything concerns you before then, please call the hospital directly.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
