Before we begin drafting the divorce application, could you tell me how long you and your husband have been living completely separately?
Nie mieszkamy razem od czternastu miesięcy, ale przez pierwsze trzy miesiące byliśmy jeszcze pod jednym dachem, bo nie stać nas było na osobne mieszkania.
That's fine, as long as you can show you were separated under one roof for part of that time. Do you have documents proving this?
Mam wyciągi bankowe pokazujące osobne konta i umowę najmu mojego mieszkania w Wollongong. Czy to wystarczy jako dowód?
You'll need to lodge the application with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Have you discussed parenting arrangements for your son?

That's not a problem — he can sign electronically even though he's currently in Queensland. The court doesn't require both parties in the same location.

The process typically takes about four months to finalise, provided all documents are complete and neither party formally objects to the orders.
