Before we go through the referral pathway, I'd like to walk you through your mother's cognitive assessment results this morning, Mrs. Volkova.

The score suggests mild cognitive impairment, which is fairly common at this stage. I'd recommend referring your mother to a geriatrician at Prince of Wales Hospital for a full assessment.

It's not certain yet, since several conditions can mimic dementia. We need an MRI scan to rule out other causes, such as vitamin deficiencies or a mild stroke.
