Good afternoon, Mr. Volkov. Thanks for coming in today. Can you tell me what symptoms you've been experiencing with your hay fever this week?
Do your eyes itch or water, and does this affect your sleep at night? Have you ever had asthma or any breathing problems in the past?
The pollen count has been quite high across Ballarat this week, especially in the mornings. Do you spend much time outdoors, perhaps gardening or working outside?
I'd recommend a nasal spray twice daily and an antihistamine tablet once a day for about two weeks, then we'll review your progress.
This antihistamine shouldn't cause drowsiness, but please don't drink alcohol while taking it, and stop immediately if you notice any rash or swelling.
You can get both from Chemist Warehouse without a prescription. If your symptoms don't improve within two weeks, please book a follow-up appointment with me.
