The scan itself is completely painless. We'll also give you some paracetamol for the headache, and we'll monitor you closely here for several hours.

Not necessarily. Even if the scan comes back clear, you'll need to rest for at least twenty-four hours, and you must return immediately if any symptoms worsen.
